| I announced it on the myspace yesterday, but I thought I'd do it here. Tonks and the Aurors' SECOND ALBUM is being released AUGUST 4! I still have a bunch of songs to record and all of the artwork to do, but it's been a blast recording this album. I can't wait for the world to hear it. I've got a photoshoot on monday for the album cover/press photos too! Now I just have to print 100 shirts before terminus and start practicing my set more so that I don't forget lyrics. I have to show them that I deserved to win this. *Nervous* Oh, and I finished the entire series of Get Smart last night. So sad. Now it's on to the special features, and I'll probably re-watch the entire thing again. I'm so glad this is my favorite TV show ever. | ||

| I leave for Spokane, WA on Friday. This is my first cross-country trip with the band, which is quite exciting. I'm excited to see the Wizard Rockumentary and Greg, especially since I'll get to see his band (Hogwarts Trainwreck) play too.) Oh, and I didn't post it here for some reason, but I won the Terminus 2008 25th band contest, which means I am now HEADLINING the wrock chicago concert with The Whomping Willows, The Remus Lupins, Draco and the Malfoys, and Harry and the Potters. I really can't believe I won, I never expected anything out of it at all. Now it's a dream come true, because I'll be playing with ALL of the bands I admire. Granted, I'll meet all of them (well, the ones I haven't already met) at wrockstock (except HatP which is sad), but it's still awesome. I can't believe it. The band I started just to have fun and encourage kids to read is actually becoming something. I would have been happy with 50 fans, and now I have over 800 myspace friends. WHAT?! I KNOW! Life is insane. Does anyone know if it's illegal to carry-on 100+ buttons/pins/badges? I'm only carrying on luggage and I'd hate to have to leave the buttons at home. | ||

| I am 99% sure that I am going to Spokane, WA for the Wizard Rockumentary premiere. I might not get in in time for the midnight showing, BUT I will be there for the Saturday free show at the library. And I was invited to play the opening party too! God, this is crazy. But I'll get to meet GREG! and the rockumentary girls! and Mark from Marked as His Equal! And some other (not yet announced/confirmed) people. West Coast here I come! (?) | ||

| After seeing a random band, that I am convinced was made entirely of Moms, at the Blind Pig on saturday...I'm thinking of starting a side project called MOM BAND. I wrote my first song and everything tonight. | I know I've only just returned from the last tour, but here's just VERY VERY VERY rough possible plan for a two week tour after I graduate in April. Tour Schedule Idea: Mon April 28-CHICAGO Tue April 29-St. Louis, MO Wed April 30-Tulsa, OK Thu May 1-Houston, TX Fri May 2-(Driving Day) or El Paso, TX? Sat May 3-Phoenix AZ Sun May 4-San Diego/LA Mon May 5-Las Vegas, NV Tue May 6-Colorado Wed May 7-Nebraska Thu May 8-Iowa Fri May 9-Central Illinois Sat May 10-Drive Home It's a crazy schedule, but I hit a lot of areas that I really want to visit. I'm not promising that this will happen, but it's an idea I've been kicking around. The timing is very specific because it is the only solid block of weeks I will have between graduation and when I have to start rehearsals for my summer show/job. If people have any ideas where in these areas (they don't have to be in the specific cities, but around these areas), I can start sending out feelers for where I can try to book shows and see if this is really do-able. | ||

| Had my first Stage Management duty 911 call tonight. What started as "A Dancer is hyperventilating offstage right"...expanded into... "She laid down because her back hurt and then couldn't feel her legs to stand back up. and her fingers are starting to tingle."...and ended with..."Paramedics are on the way"... As luck would have it, the Chair of the Dance Dept, Artistic Director of the show, and director of university productions were all in the house for rehearsal, so stage management got to defer quite a bit of power over to them. OTHER THAN THAT, I FUCKING LOVE DANCE! not even joking. | ||

Rocking Out To....: I Would Do Anything For Love-Meatloaf
I officially have a schedule for next semester! I had to find a one credit class to keep me at the credit minimum for a full-time student, but I found it!Mon: 11:30-1:00 Art History 495 (Ashcan Art/Upper Level Writing Req) 2:00-3:30 American Theatre & Drama (My last theatre dept. class!) Tues: NOTHING (omgwtfbbq) Wed: 11:30-1:00 Art History 2:00-3:30 American Theatre & Drama 4:00-1:00 Psych 211 (Exploring Careers) Thurs: NOTHING (dance party) Fri: 1:00-2:00 Stage Management Seminar Oh, that 1 Credit class I found? It's a mini course! March 4-April 15 Tues/Thurs 4:00-5:00. The best part? it's called DINOSAURS AND OTHER FAILURES. hahahahaha. best. class. name. ever. In Jan. I have dance rehearsals from 4-6 everyday, but once the show opens/closes the last week in January, I'm done as far as stage management goes. Damn it feels good to be a SENIOR. Graduation is April 25. I expect cards and moneys to be mailed out ahead of time ;) | ||
